The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ruth Becker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Memories

Being an only child, I delighted in friendship with the Becker family. I spent many hours there, sleepovers in the girl's room,  sitting around the kitchen table eating homemade dill pickles, hanging laundry on Saturdays and having a piece of Mrs. B's scrumpious cinnamon tea ring. Ruth and I babysat the Gonner kids and rode back and forth to Rose St. in Hank's rumbleseat. We served the Holy Name breakfasts at St. C. with Mrs. B.  We rode into the country with Mr. B to post For Sale signs.  Mrs. B even made a pinafore for me when she made them for her girls.   Ruth was a good friend, a delightful person, She always remembered my kids by name. My mother , who was very critical, loved Ruth.  She always said if she needed to know what was happening, ask Ruth--She always told the truth. She will remain in my memories!
