Obituary for Joseph Hale Henge
Joseph H. Henge, 63, of Dubuque died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at The University of Iowa Hospital. Services will be March 4th from 2-5pm at Sunnycrest Manor 2375 Roosevelt Avenue.
Joseph was born February 1, 1955 in Hastings, Michigan, the son of Edward and Marie (Herbstreith) Henge. Joseph was a friendly one of a kind man, who loved nothing more than spending time with his family especially his grandson Alex. He enjoyed spending time outdoors working on his tan, fishing and taking in the fresh air. Those who knew Joseph knew that he was a little sassy, yet a kind man and would do anything for anyone. He was well known for offering up a Pepsi, some cookies or a pocket sandwich to just about everyone he spoke to. One of His passions besides spending time with family was listening to music. He loved listening to his Johnny Cash or CCR and just relaxing and enjoying life.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Holly (Joseph) Andresen of Dubuque; his sister Patricia (Steven) Gottschalk of Dubuque, a Grandson Alex Andresen of Dubuque; and many relatives in Hastings, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy, and his brother-in-law Steven Gottschalk.
Memorials may be made out to the Joseph H. Henge Memorial Fund.
