Deborah A  Muenzenberger (Lightcap)
Deborah Ann (Lightcap – Wagner) Muenzenberger, 57 of Hixton, WI, died suddenly, at her home on Sunday January 15, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday January 23 at Church of the Resurrection, where there will be a visitation from 9-10:45 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

She was born to Thomas and Mary Catherine (Huss) Lightcap on July 5, 1959 in Dubuque, Iowa. Deborah grew up in Dubuque, and has continued to have ties to the community. She is survived by three sons Joshua (Tiffany) Wagner of Dubuque, IA, and Jayson (Tara) Wagner of Marion IA. and, Kyle Wagner of St. Petersburg, FL.

Deborah married Dean Muenzenberger in February of 2016 and they made their home in Hixton, WI.

She worked as teacher’s aide for the Black River Falls and Alma Center School Distracts for several years. Deb also continued her employment spanning more than 25 years with the Sisters of St. Francis Holy Family Hall in Dubuque, IA. While working with the Sisters, she worked as a receptionist, staffing scheduling, payroll and as a care giver. She was admired by her co- workers and Sisters for her kindness and willingness to help others.

Deb enjoyed spending time with her husband and best friend Dean, going out for date nights, grilling out and enjoying dining out at good restaurants. She enjoyed interacting with pets, especially dogs. She enjoyed any water activity and a walk in the woods. She also enjoyed her family and loved attending concerts with her sons and family. She loved Hollywood Trivia and her reality TV.


In addition to her husband Dean and three sons, Deb is survived by her father Thomas, and two grandchildren
Lucy and Carter. She has three step- children Anna (Luke) Litchfield and their children Ben, Talhia, Olivia, and Micayla of Monona, WI. Timothy (Becky) Muenzenberger of Sun Prairie, WI. And Anthony Muenzenberger of Dubuque, IA. Deb has two brothers Mark (Liz) Lightcap of Dubuque, IA. Mike of Portland, OR. and sisters –in-laws Janet, Jean (Kevin) and Sara Muenzenberger living in Washington State. Lynn (Bob) Russ, Joann (Terry) Foellmi of West Salem, WI. Mary (Bob) Roraff of Bangor, WI. and Gail (Naser) Salha of Sun Prairie, WI. One brother – in – law John (Sally) Muenzenberger of Lacrosse, WI; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Deborah is preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
