Obituary for Donna C Dumbell
Donna C. Dumbell, 84, of Dubuque, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016. Private graveside services will be held. A memorial reception will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 2 at Dubuque Golf & Country Club, 1800 Randall Pl.
Donna was born on December 2, 1931 in Dubuque to Donald and Helen (Castelman) Conzett. She attended Washington Junior High School in Dubuque before attending Emma Willard in New York state. She furthered her education at Northwestern University. She married Christopher Dumbell in 1951 in Dubuque.
Donna was very interested and involved in the arts. Her and her son, Donald, wrote a musical together. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed the arboretum in Dubuque.
She served on the Board of Directors at the University of Dubuque, where she was also the Seminary chair. Donna also belonged to the Dubuque Golf & Country Club.
Surviving are her children, Donald (Cherie) Conzett of Kansas City, MO, Debbie Cole of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Lu (Andrew) Brown of London, England; grandchildren Jonathan (Christina) Clemons, Miriam (Nick) Lind, Abigail Clemons, Laura and Bex Cole, and Joshua and Hannah Brown; great grandchildren Anna Clemons and Georgia Lind; and nephews Pete (Pam) and John (Patti) Conzett.
he was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chris; and a brother John Conzett.
