Obituary for William J Martens
William J. Martens, 65, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at Sunnycrest Manor.
Private family funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road is in charge of the arrangements.
William was born on October 24, 1950 in Dubuque, the son of William and Velma (Osterhaus) Martens. He graduated from Wahlert High School, attended Loras College and received his diploma from the University of Northern Colorado.
He was a manager at Fastenal Company for 15 years.
Surviving is his mother, Velma Martens; brother, Robert Martens; sister, Susan (Joseph) Mettille, all of Dubuque; triplet nephews, Jeffrey Mettille, of Washington, DC, Matthew Mettille, of San Francisco, CA, and Nathan (Rachel) Mettille, of Bloomington, MN; and a great- niece, Lucy Mettille.
He was preceded in death by his father, William.
