Obituary for Chun McMahon (Mun)
Chun “June” Sun McMahon, 77, formerly of Charlotte, IA, passed away, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, IA. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 20 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Garryowen. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
June was born in Seoul, South Korea on May 24, 1939, daughter of Changwon Mun and Sunjong Lee.
She married Thomas M. McMahon on November 10, 1970. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2012.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth (Gerd) Bobe of Corvallis, OR, Anna (Barry) Miglia and Judi Lynch, both of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren Julia Bobe, Zachary and Lily Miglia, and Colter and Calvin Otis; and siblings Keiju Mun and Kunja Lee of South Korea.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, and her brother Youngjun Mun.
