Obituary for LaVonne M Vath (Wagner)
LaVonne Mary Vath, 94, of Dubuque, formerly of 10930 NW Towner Dr., Grimes, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Stonehill Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Monday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road.
LaVonne was born in Dubuque, the daughter of Rudolph V. and Grace E. (Thielen) Wagner. She attended Nativity grade school, the Visitation High School and Clarke and Mercy for her Nursing degree.
On October 10, 1943 she married William Thomas Vath. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1992.
Surviving are her children, William (Bonita) Vath, of New Berlin, WI, Greg Vath of Tempe, AZ, Thomas (Elessa) Vath, of Grimes, IA, and Janet (David) Luick of Austin, MN; grandchildren, Timothy Vath, Jeromy Vath, Nicholas Oman, Katrina Oman and Malachi Oman; and a great- granddaughter, Emma Rose Oman.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tia Vath.
