Condolence: Mr. and Mrs. Muntz and the Muntz Family,

My deepest sympathies to you during this time. It is with a heavy heart I pass along these memories of Randy and his family. I am sorry I can't be there in person, but I hope you receive this. I was fortunate enough to spend many days and nights with Randy during our childhoods. We didn't go to the same schools and we were not the same age but we were friends. I have so many good memories of our time together. Playing baseball, riding bikes, chopping wood, hanging out in the clubhouse, playing ping pong, lifting weights, collecting baseball cards, going swimming at the lake, jumping on the trampoline, playing football, watching movies and as we got older cruising around in the Blue Mercury. Hardly a day would go by where we didn't see each other. Randy loved his family which meant I had many opportunities to be around when family events were happening. Mr. and Mrs. Muntz were so kind to me and if they got tired of me hanging around, they never showed it to me. Peggy would take us to the lake or even to Platteville the one year for the Bears training camp. Steve of course was the older brother that Randy looked up to. A great athlete that Randy admired. I remember road tripping to Des Moines to visit for a few days. I remember Dawn and Dennis from the family get togethers. Dennis would rough us up on the football field. And his cousin Ben and his niece Cheney (sp?) I think about all the time we spent together, and really can't remember a time where we did not get along. I think that is mostly because of Randy's kind and humble nature. He was a good friend and a gentle soul. He is missed. There are people in life you think of as lifelong friends even when life takes you down different paths. That is how I think of Randy and I hope he felt the same. May God bring you strength during this time.
Missing my friend,
Rick Francois
