Obituary for David W Lepsch
David W. Lepsch 28, of Dubuque, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
David was born on March 19, 1988 in Dubuque, the son of David T. and Lisa (Wiegand) Lepsch. He was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School and was an avid stump jumper and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. David developed a passion for motorcycles from his dad. Hiking in the Mines of Spain with his dogs, the outdoors and jeeps were his favorite pastimes. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his mother, Lisa of Dubuque; a sister, Katlin (Jon Noel) Lepsch of Dubuque; maternal grandmother, Shirley Wiegand; paternal grandmother Nancy Lepsch and his uncle Alan Lepsch all of Dubuque; his aunt Mary Oberembt of Minnesota; cousins Josh, Jimmy, Jenica and Annie; his dogs Dez and Baby; and the love of his life, Shelby Sweeney.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandfather Dale Wiegand; paternal grandfather John “Jack” Lepsch; his uncle John “J.” Lepsch and aunt Jean Wiegand.
A David W. Lepsch memorial fund has been established.
There will be a candlelight vigil on the river walk near the Ice Harbor Sunday at 7:45 p.m.
