Patricia Doherty Schreiber, 90, of Dubuque, passed away on Friday, June 26th surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where there will be a parish wake service at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Patricia was born on March 20th, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota, daughter of Agnes Drews Doherty of Saint Paul, and Thomas Doherty of Foxford, County Mayo, Ireland. Her family moved to Dubuque when she was in junior high.

Pat enlisted in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII and graduated from Mercy College in Detroit with a nursing degree.

Pat truly settled into Dubuque when she married Frederick J. Schreiber on the November 25, 1950. Together they raised four children. He preceded her in death in 1980.

She was a member of Serra Club, Catholic Daughters, Theresians, Nativity Church and its Rosary Society and We Care Committee, Mother’s Club, Lunch Bunch, and her Bridge Club of many years.

Pat was proud of her family, her faith and her Irish heritage. She loved to travel, play cards and spend time with family. She had a great sense of humor and was well known for her “Patti-isms” which she loved to share.

Patricia is survived by her four children and their spouses, Mary Schreiber (James Herrig), John (Rose) Schreiber, Mark (Jane) Schreiber and Tom (Molly) Schreiber; 13 grandchildren & six great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in law, John and Mary Ann Schreiber, Mary Lou Schreiber and Robert Schreiber.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Brian and Paul; and brothers and sisters in law, Ginny Doherty, Albert and Mary Hanson, Carl and Marita Kreamer, Jeanette Schreiber, and Charles Schreiber.

Memorials may be given to the Patricia Schreiber Memorial Fund.
