Delmar W. Radloff, 74, of Dubuque died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Msgr. Rev. Wayne Ressler officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road.
Delmar was born on June 17, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Walter and Florence (Burroughs) Radloff.
Delmar attended Senior High School. He worked for the Dubuque Packing Co. for 23 years followed by employment as a Headstart school bus driver and bakery delivery driver for Econofoods. He also owned and operated Zipz Ice Cream Parlor and the Flora Pool Concession Stand until retirement.
Besides his family, he enjoyed meeting with friends for coffee every morning. Other interests included going to the casino with his wife, eating out, hunting, and fishing. He loved his two girls and three grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Janell of Dubuque, IA; his daughters, Melissa (Phil) Klein of Durango, IA and Laura (Dan) Oberfoell of Dubuque, IA; his grandchildren, Brandon Klein and Megan and Nathan Oberfoell; his siblings David (Doris) Radloff of Dickeyville, WI, Mary Ann (Clyde) Harper of Dubuque, IA and Janice (Dan) Honkamp of Dyersville, IA; his sisters-in-law Judy (Jamie) Wild of Redmond, WA, Jill Kane of Waterloo, IA and Cathy Palm of Dubuque, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gary, and his brother-in-law Dennis Palm; and mother & father-in-law, John & Stella Palm
A Delmar Radloff memorial fund has been established.
