Obituary for Anna Mae C Adams (Pfiffner)
Anna Mae Adams, 82, of Dubuque, died Monday, January 26, 2015 unexpectedly at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Raphael Cathedral with Rev. Alan Dietzenbach officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd.
Anna Mae was born on June 5, 1932 in Lansing, Iowa, the daughter of Edmund and Clara Pfiffner. She was a 1953 graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing in Dubuque. On June 12, 1954, she married Jac Adams and together they raised five children.
Anna Mae was a nurturing and compassionate woman in both her personal and professional life. She was employed as a nurse by Stonehill Care Center for over 20 years. She was well liked by all.
She is survived by her children; Cynthia Napralla of New London, WI, Nanette (Phil) Hutchinson of Gurnee, IL, Michelle (Kevin) Mooney of Mission Viejo, CA, Tim (Kendra) Adams of Iowa City, IA and Dan (J.J.) Adams of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Leone Welsh and Dorothy Halverson.
She was preceded in death by her spouse; 6 siblings; her parents and 1 son-in-law.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
