Obituary for Harold J Hook
Harold J. Hook, Sr., 66, of Dubuque, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at home. In keeping with Harold's wishes, there will be no public funeral service.
Harold was born December 18, 1947 in Lansing, Iowa, son of Joseph and Dorthea (Cherrier) Hook. He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War.
Harold is survived by his wife, Dori Hook of Dubuque; four children, Harold Hook II, Jeremy Hook, Joseph (Abigail) Hook, and Michelle O'Brien, all of Dubuque; nine grandchildren; his mother, Dorthea Hook of Dubuque; and two siblings, Pat (Daniel) Farnum of Dubuque and Roger (Cindy) Hook of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
A Harold Hook Memorial Fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque for their wonderful care.
