Anna C  Heacock (McCarthy)
Anna C. Heacock 88 of Dubuque, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home & Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Rd. Family will greet friends 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at the funeral, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Anna was born on April 13, 1926, the daughter of William and Anna (Johnson) McCarthy. She married Louis D. Heacock on June 5, 1943, he passed on June 14, 1984. Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She volunteered, an avid bowler, and a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children; Gloria (Ed) Herbst of Sherrill, Carol (Ron) Winter of Asbury, Kenneth (Helen) Heacock of Dubuque, Dean (Sally) Heacock of Asbury, and Duane (Mary) Heacock of Peosta; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; siblings; Joan (Eldon) Schmitt and Mary Smith; in-laws; Mary McCarthy and Dorene McCarthy.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; a son, Arvel "Red"; a grandson, Gene Herbst; siblings; Justin, Orland, William, Robert, Loras, Eileen, and Lorraine.

A special thank you to Becky and Heather, Hospice of Dubuque (Dawn), and the staff of the Dubuque Retirement Community.

A memorial fund has been established in Anna's memory.
