Obituary for Adrian Kelley (Kelley)

Adrian R. Kelley 87, of Dubuque, Iowa, was called home peacefully on February 26, 2019 at Bethany Home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am., Monday, March 4, 2019 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery where Military Rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 pm., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road and from 9:30 to 10:15 am., Monday at the church.

Adrian was born on December 29, 1931 in Dubuque, Iowa son of Claire Romeyn and Una Carrie (Waughop) Allman Kelley.

He married Nancy VonAh in 1954 and from that union they were blessed with three children, Stephen D. Kelley, Kim M. Kelley, and Deborah L. Kelley. He later married Mildred Kopps on November 11, 1995

Adrian was a lifelong resident of Dubuque, Iowa where he graduated from Dubuque Senior High school. He was a Marine and served in the Korean War, worked
at the Dubuque Packing Company, Frommelt Industries, and the Dubuque Fire Dept. After retirement from he worked at Luther Manor.

Adrian loved spending time with his family, friends and especially grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Dad loved going to musicals at the Bell Tower and listening to the The Dubuque Drum and Bugle Corps. He loved the leaves in the fall, playing Euchre, and in his younger years, making wine.

Adrian is survived by his sister, Karen (Dennis) Paar; his children, Stephen Kelley, Kim (Steve "R.J.") Wetter, and Deborah (Al) Schroeder; step children, Gary (Carolyn) Kopps Vicki (Steve) Felsted, and Donna (Rod) Yarnish; grandchildren, Emmy Kringle, Keith Kelley, Kristina (Mike) Banwarth, Crystal (Bob) Crandall, Jessica Wetter, Emily (Austin) Pickup, Katelynn Schroeder, Adrianna Schroeder; and 6 great -grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Aldeen Kelley; sisters, Joyce Kelley, Glyone Kelley; half-sisters, Nellavene Allman, Neola McGrath; half-brothers, Harry Allman, Junior Kelley and Roger Kelley
