Thomas was born June 19, 1941 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of James and Mary (Kimbal) Eitter. He married Geraldine Ann Morgan on September 16, 1967 in Page, North Dakota. Tom graduated from De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota and received his BA from St. Cloud State University where he lettered in Wrestling and Football. Coach Eitter was a devoted family man, teacher, coach, and mentor. He was a quintessential “common man” who overcame difficult obstacles to live a life peppered with colorful stories and unexpected outcomes. To the end, he embraced a code of feisty rebellion.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Geri, and his children: Patrick (Giselle), Erin (Kirk Kono), and Morgan (Kelly), as well as by his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Kolton and Briehlyn Nadermann, Keegan and Kloie Eitter, Caitlyn Akiko Kono, Max, Kai, and Sam Eitter, and his Great Grandson, Leo Nadermann.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: James, Joseph, and Laura Jean (Juell).
