Jeannette E  Correll (LeVan)
Jeannette E. Correll, 97, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo died peacefully Saturday, December 23, 2017 at home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Visitation will also be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.
Jeanette was born April 4, 1920 in Waterloo, daughter of Harold and Delila (Gratriex) LeVan.
She married Gerald Fred Bartelt on June 19, 1941. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1978. She married John F. Correll on March 3, 1983. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1997.
She was a longtime member of First Congregational Church in Waterloo. She was a homemaker who liked to sew, read, garden and cook. She also loved animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Kay (Charles) Gantenbein; step daughters, Jane (Dale) Zander and Mary Bollman; grandchildren, Thomas (Peaceful Spirit) Gantenbein, Terrance Gantenbein, Ronald Trumbauer, and David Trumbauer; step grandchildren, Kari (Walt) Gjavenis, John Correll, and Mark Bollman; and great grandchildren, McKayla, Kate and Alexa Gantenbein; Jayson and Jenna Zick; and Katie and Kyla Bollman. She is also survived by nieces, Linda (Joe) Miller, Lisa (Steve) Steward, Ginger (Charles) Logan, Lynn Kuklieski, and Julie LeVan.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janice Marie Trumbauer, step son and his wife, John and Bertha Correll; brother and sister in law Bob and Lois LeVan; step grandchildren, Charles “Chip” Correll, Rebeccah Johnson, and Jeffery Zander, great grandson, Jake Johnson and nephew, Eric LeVan.
