Life Story for Marilyn Adele Grashorn (Witter)

Funeral services for Marilyn Grashorn, 88, a lifelong resident of Dubuque will be held on December 2, 2017. Visitation will be will be at St Peters Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m., with services to follow at 11:00. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.
Marilyn passed away peacefully Sunday, November 19th at Bethany Home in Dubuque, IA. Marilyn was born October 27, 1929 in Dubuque. She married Dale Grashorn in 1949 in Dubuque who preceded her in death in 2013.
Marilyn was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and past member of many volunteer organizations including St Peters Lutheran Church, Bethany Home Volunteers, Dubuque Historical Society, Finley Hospital, Dubuque Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, and many civic committees and panels.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Dennis (Ellen) Grashorn of Geneva, IL; Mary (Brian) Henry of Rochester, MN; her very much loved 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Herzog of Rice Lake, WI; sister-in-law Mrs. Carl (Carmelita) Witter of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Lamp and brother-in-law Robert Herzog; and her brother Carl.
