Eileen M.  Tigges
Eileen Tigges, 89, of Black Earth, Wisc., formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Heartland Country Village, Black Earth. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity, 1225 Alta Vista, Dubuque, where visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Eileen was born March 30, 1928 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of William and Dorothy (Kutsch) Tigges. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy.
Eileen worked as an executive secretary at Research Products Corp. in Madison for 32 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Madison.
In addition to being a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Eileen was an avid bowler and sports fan, especially the Hawkeye’s. She also enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by two siblings, William (Juanita) Tigges of Dubuque and Patricia (Jim) Leonard of Madison; a sister in law, Judy Tigges of Peoria, Ill., 11 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Tigges.
The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
