Obituary for Patrick P Weber

Patrick P. Weber 49, of Dubuque, passed away Thursday, May 25th, 2017, surrounded by
his loving family, after a brave battle with esophageal cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Egelhof,
Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. –
8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the funeral home.

Pat was born on August 29, 1967, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Richard
“Beezy” and Norma (Koltes) Weber. He married Karen Montelius on September
7, 1990 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubuque. Pat worked in his family
business, Weber Portrait Design, for many years before joining Decker
Precision Machining as a machinist. Family was the center of Pat’s life.
He also enjoyed photography, sports, especially wrestling, all styles of
music and following the K.C. Chiefs. Drag racing, however, was his favorite
passion. Pat raced his 1971 Dodge Charger and became an 8-time champion at
the Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa. Pat was a loving husband, father, son,
brother and friend. He will surely be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife, Karen; his children Matthew and Amanda; his parents
Richard “Beezy” and Norma Weber and his brother Michael (Suzette) Weber
all of Dubuque; his father-in-law William Montelius (Marge) of East Dubuque, IL;
his brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy (Liz) Montelius and Alan Montelius
both of Cedar Rapids, IA, Laurie (Dave) Vonah of Dubuque, Barbie (Dr.
Aaron) Baltz of Brookfield, WI; and Cris (Dave) Small of East Dubuque, also surviving
are many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Simon and Mary Weber, Herbert and Marcella Koltes, a sister Kristine Weber
and mother-in-law Shirley Montelius.

In lieu of flowers, a Patrick P. Weber memorial fund has been established.

The Weber family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque, the
Decker family and Pat’s co-workers and the doctors and nurses in the oncology departments at
Medical Associates and University of Wisconsin, Madison for their support and care.
