Doris R. Naber, 79, of Dubuque went to greet the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, Jan. 9 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m., Thursday at St. Anthony's Church and from 9- 9:45 a.m., Friday at the Church. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road is in charge of the arrangements.

Doris was born August 17, 1935 in Kieler, Wisconsin the daughter of John and Josepha (Schaefer) Droessler.

She married Eugene A. Schick on Sept. 17th, 1955; he preceded her in death on May 7, 1957.

On June 4, 1966 she married David C. Naber at Nativity Catholic Church.

Over the years Dori was a mappist at Interstate Power Company, a field Vice President of Girl Scouts of America, an Adult Religious Education Coordinator for St. Anthony’s Parish. She conducted bible study and prayer group in her home for many years.

Doris was a very faith- filled person who was willing to reach out to anyone in need. She was an awesome wife, mom, grandma and great- grandma and will be greatly missed.

Surviving is her husband, David Naber; children, Michelle “Micki” (Gregg) Marolf, of Dubuque, Angel Naber, of Marion, IA., Julie (Robert) Axtell, of Mount Vernon, IA., and Jeffrey Naber, of Dubuque; 6 grandchildren, Sara (Richard) Flannery, Kimberly (Patrick) Gunderson, Tyler Marolf, Ryan Axtell, Jordan Axtell, and Rachel Axtell; 2 great- grandchildren, Jocelyn Flannery and Liliana Gunderson; 2 brothers, Justin (Agnes) Droessler of Dubuque and John (Pauline) Droessler, of Dickeyville, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Geneva Droessler, of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Roman Droessler, LaVern Droessler, Ardwin Droessler; 2 sisters, Eileen Roddick and Adele Mohr.

In lieu of flowers a Doris Naber memorial fund has been established.
