Condolence: To the family and friends of our dear Brother Carl,
We have had the pleasure of getting to know Carl through our ministry work at Dubuque Nursing and Rehab. We have been tremendously blessed by him and his family. As you seek the Lord at this time, we would like to share 2 very distinct things that we hope will give you great joy. At this time in Carl's life, he was not able to verbally speak much, but there were times when we began to share about the Lord, his eyes lit up and he would radiate a huge smile! This reminds us of the verse "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light" Matthew 6:22. Another amazing testimony is that about a month ago in Bible study, he prayed out loud, very clearly, confessing his life in Jesus! What an assurance this gives us as we think on the verse "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved", in Romans 10:9. This morning as I was in prayer regarding today's events, the Lord placed the song "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" on my heart. I believe that this is entirely what Carl is doing right now and that as we follow, we will have His peace. The Lord also placed Psalm 19 on my heart as a word of encouragement for your family. Let it bless you today and in the following days. Please remember, we would be overjoyed to have you continue in fellowship with us at Dubuque Nursing and Rehab.!

Condolence: We wish to express our sympathies to Rosemary and family at Carl's passing. We knew Carl through church work and Wartburg Seminary support and can only affirm his love for the church and the good work he showed throughout his life. He has been an inspiration for us in his infinite energy toward making this world a better place. Carl always had a positive, can-do attitude and never turned down an opportunity to encourage or help in any way when asked. He seemed forever young to us, always being there when needed and offering solid advice and his wealth of experiences. The world needs more Carl Zauches. We will not forget him.

Carl will always be remembered for his faith, his love of family, his dedication to farming, and his droll sense of humor. Condolence: To Carl and family: God's peace and comfort be with you as you grief the loss of your father. Knowing you, Carl, makes me know that your father was a good man. I pray that his memory is blessed and that the identity and imprint left behind in your family will bring joy and blessings to you. May the hope of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all as you mourn.
