Lewis A Dubler

Lewis A. Dubler, 88, of Dubuque, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Bethany Home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Mueller Memorial Chapel in Linwood Cemetery, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 16, 1921, in Dubuque County, son of Arthur and Lillie (Klein) Dubler. He married Pearl Schaumburg on May 23, 1947, in Minneapolis.

He served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II, serving in Australia, the Philippines and Japan. He retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 36 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl Dubler, of Dubuque; a son, Paul Dubler, of South Beloit, Ill.; a daughter, Linda Dubler, of Dubuque; and a brother, Richard (Anne) Dubler, of Mount Holly, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Rose, Ruth, Edwin and Les Dubler, Rita Lyons and Elaine Wilwert.
