Obituary for Dixie L Hinzman (Ward)
Dixie L. Hinzman, 69, of Dubuque died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Home. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where visitation will be held Saturday from noon until time of service. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Dixie was born September 7, 1948 in Mt. Carroll, IL, daughter of Orlo and Evelyn (Neighaus) Ward. She grew up in southwest Wisconsin.
She married Ronald Hinzman on July 17, 1993. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2014.
Dixie retired from Micro Switch/Honeywell after 28 years of service.
She loved spending time with family, friends and her dog, Baby.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Jodi) Johnson of Dubuque, John (Kasia) Johnson of Fulton, NY, and Denise (Val) Kohout of DeForest, WI; grandchildren, Josh, Morgan, Lydia, and Cole Johnson, Haiden and Grant Johnson and Carsen Kohout.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Suzette Ulery, Kenneth Ward and Lorriane Buskee and a grandson, Nathan Johnson.
