Obituary for Clifford L Stock
Clifford Leroy Stock, 76, of Dubuque passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at Luther Manor Grand Meadow Place.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road and from 9 to 10:15 am Saturday at Grand View United Methodist Church where services will be held 10:30 am Saturday with Rev. Thomas Shinkle officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery were military rites will be accorded the Dubuque Marine Corps League.
Clifford was born July 11, 1941 in Potosi, Wi, son of Guy D. and Helen (Morey) Stock. He married Sandy Knabel May 19, 1991 at Grand View United Methodist Church, Dubuque.
He graduated from West Dubuque (Farley Public School) in 1959 and attended Clarke College for two years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War.
Cliff was a self-employed photographer opening the Cliff Stock Photography in 1981.
In his younger years he played guitar and sang in bands and entertained at nursing homes.
He was an active member of Grand View United Methodist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Sandy Stock of Dubuque; children Ranae (Michael) Downing, of Elkhart, IN and Bryan (Suzanne Millius) Stock, of Dubuque; step-children, Jay (Peri) Knabel, of Lead, SD, Dr. Julie (Dr. John) Lee, of River Falls, WI, and Dr. Jessica (Dr. Jason) Black, of Portland, OR; grand-children, Austin Millius, Cade Stock, Reece Knabel, Paige Knabel, Hudson Knabel, Charlie Lee, Harper Lee, Sadie Black and Zienna Black; and his brothers and sisters, Barbara Hackbarth, Donald Stock, Allen (Marsha) Stock, Jim (Nancy) Stock, Imogene Thill, LuAnn stock, Lucille Leib and Florence (Bill Roussel) Merfeld.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Craig A. Stock, his former wife, Elizabeth Howard, sister, Joyce Hines and a brother, Fulton Stock.
