Obituary for Anna Belle Wacker (Lampe)

Anna Belle Wacker, 94, of Bellevue died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue. A memorial service will be held 4:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14 at First Presbyterian Church, Bellevue where visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until time of service. Committal will be in First Presbyterian Cemetery, Bellevue.
Anna was born November 23, 1922 in Battle Creek, Iowa, daughter of William and Anna (Brosamle) Lampe.
She graduated from Battle Creek High School, class of 1940. She served in the US Army WAC during WWII.
In 1946, she married Albert Wacker in Omaha, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 1979.
She worked at Bellevue Memorial Hospital, Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue Public Library and as curator for the Jackson County Historical Society, and later served as Bellevue, Iowa Historian.
She was a member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a son, Jim (Lynn) Wacker of Bellevue, Iowa; daughter, Joan Wacker of Strawberry Point, Iowa; and grandson, Nathan (Kelly) Wacker of Bellevue; and a great granddaughter, Kora Wacker.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wesley Lampe; and two sisters, Wilma Schmidt and Helen Hagerstrand.
