Obituary for Marilyn Reiter (Wise)

Marilyn  Reiter (Wise)
Marilyn Reiter, 86, of Bethany Home, passed away peacefully there on Monday, September 11, 2017. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.
Marilyn was born on November 10, 1930, in Dubuque, daughter of Albert and Madeline (Peck) Wise. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1948. She worked at John Deere Dubuque Works, retiring after 34 years. On August 5, 1967, she married Eugene (Gene) Reiter at St. Columbkille’s Catholic Church, Dubuque. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2006.
Marilyn was a long-time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed collecting through the years – especially David Winter cottages and jewelry.
Surviving are two step-children: Sharron (Roger) Konzen of Marion, IA, and Randy (Jeanne) Reiter of Floyds Knobs, IN; grandchildren: Mike(Amy) Reiter of Dubuque, Christopher Reiter of Collinsville, IL, Laura Mazanowski of Louisville, KY, and Hannah and Abbey Konzen, both of Marion; one great-granddaughter Kyla Mazanowski of Louisville, KY; sisters-in-law: Gloria Hocking of Dubuque, Jean Reiter of Silverdale, WA; brother-in-law: Richard (Carol) Reiter of Marshfield, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step-daughter Kathy Reiter; her sisters: Dorothy Grantham and Helen Nelson; brothers-in-law: Ted Reiter, Curt Hocking and Frank Nelson; her nephews: Chris Allan Graham, Terry Joe Graham and Doug Timmerman; and a great-niece, Cora Jaques.
The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
