Kathryn A. “Kate” Dean, 86, of 1765 Bennett Street died Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 3200 Asbury Rd. Dubuque IA, where a visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Kathryn was born May 29, 1931 daughter of Charles M. and Adelaide M. (Johnson) Spielman. She Graduated from Dubuque Senior High school in 1950. She worked in 2 different banks in Dubuque (about 15 years) and then cared for people in their homes. She married John L. Dean in Dubuque, Iowa on June 16, 1956. After their son, John H. Dean, was born, Kate stayed home as mother and wife. Their son passed away, November 23, 1985 at the age of 27. Her husband passed away Oct 19, 2005. She is also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Robert, William and Charles.
