Condolence: Helen led me to Camp Courageous and its Board. We shared many rides and interesting discussions during our camp travels. I also value her memories of the travels and experiences during her life in various oversea settings.
In later years, I felt we shared a special bond of friendship which lasted into her hundredth year.

Dan and I both will miss her.

Condolence: Helen Watts was key to Camp Courageous surviving some early bumps in the road. I knew, no matter how bad things could be, I always had Helen's total support. It has been an honor to have known Helen, about half her life (50-years). A brilliant, kind, caring and hard working lady...there was never a time she would not be there to help a person in need. An incredible teacher, around the world, but more particularly at the University of Dubuque, where she taught so many to become exceptional educators. Helen will be dearly missed...but what a beautiful legacy she leaves behind through all the lives she impacted and touched. My heartfelt sympathy to John, Nora, family and friends.
