Obituary for Lynn Ann Wehrspann (Dills)
Lynn A. Wehrspann, 71, of Sherrill, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where there will be a visitation from 9:30 until the time of service. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 7 at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd, Dubuque.
Lynn was born on May 31, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to Howard and Margaret (Healy) Dills. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1963. On September 17, 1966, she married William Wehrspann at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2006.
Lynn worked at Coca-Cola for many years. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and on the Women of St. Paul.
Lynn enjoyed cooking and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include her sons Charles (Lisa) Wehrspann of Sherrill and Steven (Amy) Wehrspann of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren William and Lydia Wehrspann and Adam, Alexander, and Sarah Wehrspann; her sister Sandra Bush of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters in law Lucille (Roger) Riechmann of Dubuque and Alvina (Gus) Timmerman of Cuba City, WI; nephew Jonathon (Gail) Bush of Dallas, TX; her cousin Karen Smith of Aurora, IN; and special friends Charlotte and Dick Tigges and Sandra “Sonie” Naravson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband William.
In lieu of flowers, a Lynn A. Wehrspann Memorial Fund has been established.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque, Manor Care, and Home Instead for their excellent care.
