Tom and our dad, Dick Hinsenbrock, grew up together in Guttenberg and were friends from childhood.  Tom sang when our Grandpa and Grandma Rademacker were married in Greeley.  Tom was also Vicky's baptismal sponsor.   We have a number of pictures of Tom and Dad visiting visiting our Uncle Leo (Berns).  Uncle Leo is smoking his ever present pipe and wearing a buffalo coat.  Tom would call us about once a week when we lived in Clermont on the farm and he lived in Dubuque and worked at the packing plant.   He did visit us at our farm and played our piano--he was so gifted.   Dad passed away in 2009 and we have been visiting Tom at Luther Manor for several years.  Towards the end he had a little trouble remembering our names but he always remembered Dad.
