Condolence From: Betsy Shaw Weiner
Condolence: It's so sad to think that the world is no longer the home of this kind, interesting man. We met at Westchester Community College where he was a math professor, after I came to the college as Director of College Relations. We shared an interest in astronomy, and I always was amazed by the results of his astrophotography. My husband, too, shared that interest - we had a telescope at home - and, when he was in what proved to be his final illness, Rick sent to him a wonderful photo he had taken that was full of different galaxies. It was somehow comforting to us both; I still have and treasure it. So - my deepest sympathies to Wanda and to the rest of his family. He will be missed.

Condolence: I was deeply saddened to hear the passing of Rick. I am your UPS driver, and as you know,I was at your house on numerous occasions. I always enjoyed chatting with Rick. On one occasion, he showed me his telescopic equipment, and I was completely amazed at the photos he had taken of stars and planets. I thought he was a very amazing and interesting person. I shall truly miss him.
