Rita M. Koerperich, 92, of Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, formerly of Dubuque died Friday, November 04, 2016 at Shady Rest Care Center. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm Sunday at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road where there will be a parish wake service at 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Steve Rosonke officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Centralia.
Rita was born August 26, 1924, daughter of Joseph and Emma (Loecke) Boge. She married Loras Koerperich on September 3, 1947 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Peosta. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2003.
Rita was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Pat) Howard of Cascade and Debra (Ken) Link of Bernard; six grandchildren, Amy Howard, Tara (Mike) Smith and Brian Howard, all of Cascade; Tracy (Eric) Konrardy and Jennifer (Dennis) White, both of Bernard and Andrew (Anne) Link of Dubuque.
She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, Megan and Tyler Smith; Blake, Alex and Emma Konrardy; Nora, Zach and Ben White; and Travis, Joe and Max Link.
She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother in law, Sylvia and Don Westhoff, and her brother and sister in law, Harold and Vi Boge.
A Rita Koerperich Memorial Fund has been established.
