Dorothy  Strub
Dorothy A. Strub, 96, of Dubuque died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at home. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church where friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Dorothy was born March 15, 1920 in Freeburg, Minn., daughter of Jesse and Winifred (Moore) Garrett. She attended Waukon Public Schools. On June 12, 1939 she married Mark Strub in New Albin, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1985.
Dorothy was the “Milk Lady” for 16 years for the St. Joseph the Worker lunch program. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
She enjoyed baking, playing cards and gardening.
Dorothy is survived by four sons, Dick (Louise) Strub of Dubuque, Mike (Vickie) Strub of Dubuque, Pat (Sue) Strub of Rock Island, Ill., Mark Strub of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Mary Ann Kearney of Dubuque; a son in law, Charlie Klump of North Riverside, Ill., 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna; two brothers, Earl and Roy Garrett and two sisters, Cleo Gromlich and Wilma Berwanger.
The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
