Phyllis L. Laufenberg, 91, of Dubuque, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 15 at Church of the Resurrection. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14 at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd, Dubuque.

Phyllis was born on August 14, 1924 to Jacob and Jennie (Brack) VanderPol in White Lake, South Dakota.

Survivors include her children Jane (Roger) Stein, Ruth (Roger) Fleming, Norb Jr. (Barb) Laufenberg, Bob (Cherie) Laufenberg, Greg (Linda) Laufenberg, Marge (Jeff) Prohofsky, and Sharon (Benoit) Mulsant; grandchildren Jennifer Laufenberg, Dan (Julie) Laufenberg, Matt (Courtney) Laufenberg, Josh Laufenberg, Jenny (Russell) Lewis, Tim, David and Ryan Prohofsky, and Louise, Sophie and Xavier Mulsant; great grandchildren Kylie Laufenberg,Noah and Anabelle Laufenberg, Natalie and Adam Laufenberg, and Mary Alice Lewis; and siblings Ronald VanderPol, Donald (Judy) VanderPol, Bette Minehart, and Norma Ann Syverson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Norbert Sr.; great granddaughter Caroline Laufenberg; and siblings Goldie Young and Duaine VanderPol.

A Phyllis L. Laufenberg Memorial Fund has been established. Later donation will be made to the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Phyllis' name.
