Roy M  Laufenberg
Roy M. Laufenberg, 86, of 2227 Delmonaco Dr., Dubuque, IA., and recently of Luther Manor passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016.
Memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 1870 St. Ambrose St., with the Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1111 Davis St., Dubuque, IA. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., Thursday at the Church. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road is in charge of the arrangements.
Roy was born on June 28, 1929 in Cassville, WI., the son of William and Pearl (Greenwood) Laufenberg.
He married Jeanette Pfeiffer on May 19, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dubuque. IA.
Roy was employed at the Dubuque Packing Company for 49 years. He enjoyed many family camping vacations traveling to most of the states west of the Mississippi. He was a Charter member of the Dubuqueland Campers Club and a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association (NCHA). His other interests include fishing while spending a day on his pontoon, tending his vegetable garden, tinkering on projects around the house, and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Jeanette; children, Randy (Vicky) Laufenberg, Linda (Jan) Scott, and Lori (Dick) Launspach; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Laufenberg, Kyle Laufenberg, Jared (Angie) Wolfe, Jerrell (Angelia) Henslee, Dana (fiancé Tyler) Launspach and Miles Launspach; 6 great- grandchildren; John (Jack) Trierweiler, Gloria Urban, Gary Trierweiler and Dennis Trierweiler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mildred Lightfoot, Milton (Bud) Laufenberg, Wayne Laufenberg Sr.
