Michael C  Oberhoffer
Michael C. Oberhoffer 65, of Dubuque, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Church of The Resurrection with Rev. Mark Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd. where a parish scripture wake service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Monday at the Church of The Resurrection.

Mike was born on February 10, 1951 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Carl and Marilyn (Aliesch) Oberhoffer. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and was a member of Resurrection Parish. On July 14, 1978, he married Catherine "Kay" Steffen. Mike was employed at Klauer Manufacturing for 37 years as a machinist, retiring in 2006. For 25 years, he was a proud member and volunteer of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 91 through the Church of The Resurrection. He enjoyed taking family vacations to Las Vegas, Branson, Missouri and Florida as well as spending numerous weekends at the family cottage in Menominee, Ill while making everlasting memories that will never be forgotten. Hunting, fishing, playing cards and bowling with friends and family were some of Mike's favorite pastimes. He loved to spoil his 5 grandchildren as well as his many nieces and nephews. Mike was a kindhearted man that will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his wife Kay of Dubuque; his children Michelle (Paul) Munya of Shelby Township, MI and Matthew (Beth) Oberhoffer of Dubuque; his grandchildren Marilyn, Andrew, and Paul Jr. Munya all of Shelby Township,MI and Bentley and Isabella "Bella" Oberhoffer both of Dubuque; his brothers Mark (Peg), Jeff and Jerry (Patty) Oberhoffer all of Dubuque.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Paula Oberhoffer.

The family of Michael Oberhoffer would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Ringold/Dr Whalen of Dubuque Internal Medicine, the supportive and caring Staff of Tri-State Dialysis and the outstanding and caring staff of Mercy Medical Center.
