Obituary for Janette Dunne (Heiderscheit)

Janette E. Dunne, 92, of Dubuque passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Stonehill Care Center.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 19 at The Church of the Nativity, where friends may call from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Janette was born on January 3, 1924 in Holy Cross, the daughter of John and Florence (Roe) Heiderscheit.
She married Donald J. Dunne on April 25, 1945 in Dubuque; he preceded her in death on April 23, 2008.

Janette was a faithful member of Nativity Catholic Church and had a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother, praying the rosary daily. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing Bingo and music. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Wernimont of Dubuque and Rose (Jesse) Mulvaney of Cedar Rapids; son, Steve (fiancé Patti) Dunne of Dubuque; nine grandchildren, Angie Johnston, Don (Elizabeth) Splinter, Molly (Fadi) Yacoub, Matt (Sara) Mulvaney, Kelly (fiancé Sean Palmer) Mulvaney, Zachary and Meggan Dunne, Steve and Sarah Kutsch; 12 great-grandchildren, Jenna and Caitlin Szczpta, Caleb and Cameron Splinter, John, Marie, Eva and George Yacoub, Brody DeNeve, Gracie and Cole Dunne and Madelyn Mulvaney;2 sisters, Rosemary Winner and Hazel Schend; and one brother, Leonard Heiderscheit.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Don, an infant son, Bernard, daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jim Kutsch; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine (Lanie) and Ken Johnston, son-in-law, Paul Wernimont; 6 sisters, Agnes Klaas, Dorothy Crawford, her twin, Julia Simon, Clara Dolter, Norma Wagner, and Virginia Saylor; 5 brothers, John, Frank, Leo, Harold and Charlie Heiderscheit.

The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers a Janette E. Dunne memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stonehill Care Center for their wonderful care.

Thank you God for blessing our family beyond compare. It is an honor to be her children and grandchildren.
