Joanne Taylor Ruley, 84 of Dubuque died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Bethany Home. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Summit Congregational United Church of Christ where visitation will be held Saturday from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
Joanne was born September 12, 1930 in Dubuque, daughter of John Frank and Genevieve (Nesler) Taylor. She married John F. "Jack" Ruley on September 10, 1949 in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2006.
She was a member of Summit Congregational United Church of Christ.
She is survived by four daughters, Donna (Donald) Drummond of Richmond, Calf., Jane (Greggory) Hammel of Wisconsin Dells, Wisc., Carol (Bruce Thornton) Krayer of Dubuque, and Gayle (Glenn) Clark of Waterloo, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Celeste, Craig (Kim), Eilean, and Ian Drummond; Hillary Hammel, Lynne (Jason) Krayer, and John (Crissy) Krayer and Taylor Brookins; seven great grandchildren; and a sister in law, Doris Ruley-Graf of Dubuque.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas Taylor, a sister, Violet Burlingame and a son in law, Andrew Krayer.
The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
